Previously a vice president with Casimir Capital and a managing director with Aegis Capital, James Ahern currently serves as a managing partner and the head of capital markets with Laidlaw & Company, a health care investment bank. From its offices in New York City, he has overseen growth that resulted in additional office openings in Boston, San Francisco, and London. A graduate of the Northfield Mount Hermon School, Laidlaw managing partner James Ahern has more than a decade of investment experience.

Mr. Ahern maintains ties to his alma mater through his position as the chair of the Northfield Mount Hermon Basketball Alumni Council for Excellence. He also supports the Big Brothers Big Sisters Massachusetts Bay chapter. Not only does he participate in charity fishing tournaments, he is also on the board of overseers for the area’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation and is a co-chair of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Classic. Mr. Ahern enjoys going on boating trips throughout the state, including in and around Cape Cod.
